In and around Grandmenil, you still can found many traces of the Battle of the Ardennes.
Bombcraters, foxholes, shrapnel and of course monuments.
In this region there was fierce fighting to stop the last German advance.
Your host takes you on a trip on this, by many unknown, Battle Tour and can tell you many personal story's of veterans. Because of his torrow research, your host can talk for hours about the battle in and around Grandmenil. He's willing to take you up the hills, hunting for war traces of the battle of the Ardennes.
He shows you where Richard Wiegand fired his "lucky shot". He takes you to the spot where Henry Holtzman (on purpose?) lost his dogtag. He can tell you about the mysteries of this battle. And: he shows you the route of Robert Kauffman and the place where he, cold blooded, asked for artillery on his own spot.
This tour is available for groups of four to sixteen persons.
Please do contact your host to ask for available dates.
