Monuments

There are many monuments in the Ardennes, in memory of the liberators and the fallen. There are many in Manhay Grandmenil.

On the route D'Erezée in Grandmenil you will found this monument.

And of course Grandmenil this impressive monuments are:

Panther Ausf G., SS Das Reich Foto: Nick T.

The panther was left on December 26, 1944 left because it ran out of gasoline. The tank sank into the ground and was found in the 80s during roadwork at the Male Melee . The tank was painted pink (as some refer to as the "pink panther"). Uiteindelijk werd de tank aan de buitenkant gerestaureerd en op zijn plaats gezet aan de rotonde. Eventually, the tank was restored to the exterior and put into place at the roundabout. It is odd that there is a photograph of another panther, almost at the same place as the Panther now (Click here for photo)
